'What the teacher is, more important than what he teaches'

 A delicious food fest was conducted as part of our onam function. It was a potluck. I prepared sambar for the food fest. There was biriyani, fried rice, kappa, fish curry, kurma, rice, thoran, aviyal, chicken fry, chicken curry, beef fry, payasam, idiyappam, pathiri, parotta, juice etc.

 15/08/2022 MONDAY No regular classes. Reached the school at 8:00 am. Headmistress hoisted the flag; sweets were distributed to the students. It was a wonderful experience. 16/08/2022 TUESDAY Reached the school at 9:30 am and signed the attendance register. Had an informal talk with my students and taught them well. Lunch was served to them. After that I ate lunch. During the free time I wrote Lesson plans. Last bell was at 3:45pm. 17/08/2022 WEDNESDAY Special assembly was conducted to honor the farmers. Today is Chingam 1 also known as Farmer's Day. After the assembly regular classes started. Talked about importance of farming and farmers in the classroom. Then taught the portion that I had planned. After the last bell at 3:45pm went to home. 19/08/2022 FRIDAY Reached the school at 9:30am and signed the attendance register. This is the last day of my teaching practice.  Today was the last day of 2nd phase teaching practice. This phase was a wonderful experience to me. First phase was during the pandemic situation, so I didn't get any chance to mingle with them. But this phase gave me ample opportunity for that and had created a good relationship with 9th standard students. I got mixed feedbacks from them. Also, they gave me gifts, which were precious for me. We the teacher trainees gave them treat with cake and sweets.

  This is my first experience in my whole life. Today the Ayira school officials organized a programme to give respect to the farmers. Chingam 1 is also known as Farmer's Day. Four farmers near the school were selected and they were given respects. They shared their experience with the students and teachers. One among them was a government employee. Each one among them was practicing farming

Ayira school celebrated Independence Day greatly. Several competitions were conducted and already selected the winners. They conducted quiz competition, patriotic song competition, essay writing competition, elocution etc. On Independence Day teachers wore white sari and headmistress hoisted the flag. After those cultural events started. Gifts were given to the winners. During the programme an old artist was honored. Students performed many beautiful items. I enjoyed the cultural session. Sadya was provided to all the students. It was an unforgettable experience for me as a teacher trainee.  

 08/08/2022 MONDAY Reached the school at 9:15 am and signed the attendance register. Participated in the assembly. Had a chit chat with the headmistress and my concerned teacher. Went to the class at the appropriate hour and took the attendance register. Taught the lesson well and asked scaffolding questions to check their knowledge level. They also cleared theri doubts by asking several questions. After the last bell at 3:45 pm went to home. 10/08/2022 WEDNESDAY Reached the school at 9:30 am and signed the attendance register. After that went to my concerned teacher and asked for some guidance. Yesterday was a holiday due to Muharem so I revised the previous days portion and asked some questions to the students. Then I taught the new portion and gave them a follow up activity. After the last bell at 3:45 pm went to home. 11/08/2022 THURSDAY Reached the school at 9:15 am. Participated in the assembly. Went to the office room and signed the attendance register of teacher trainees. it was a rainy day. I spent some time in the library. I had second hour. I reached the class at 10:30am and had a chit chat with my students. I checked the remembrance of the story MATERNITY by asking several questions. After the last bell at 3:45pm went to home. 04/08/2022 THURSDAY Reached the school premises at 9:30 am and signed the attendance register. Participated in the assembly. Today I had fifth hour at 9th standard. It was the last class of the story MATERNITY. Necessary details regarding the story were already given to the students.
